"Grow
in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ".
2 Peter 3:18
It is our desire to provide a ministry for every woman, no
matter her age or stage in life. Our Bible studies, programs,
and events have been planned with your needs in mind. We want
you to be encouraged by finding friends and enriched by studying
and applying God's Word. Join us this year in growing your
relationship with God and others.
Ladies' Spring Brunch
This exciting outreach falls on the Saturday before Mother's
Day each year. These morning events have included a delicious
brunch, creative programming, and words of encouragement from
our guest speakers. Recent themes have included "Unwrapping
the Treasure", "Seeds
for Growth", "Circle of Friends", and "A Touch
of the Master's Hand".
Ladies' Night Out
Regularly, the women of Shoreland plan a casual get-together with
a special activity. We might share a meal; learn a skill; or just
visit, relax, and laugh. These times are purely social and are
great for inviting a friend. Here are a few examples of what we've
done in the past:
Pool Party
Basket Making
Pizza and Game Night
Bonfire and Fireworks
Auto Maintenance Tips
Photo Album Layout
Rubber Stamping
Bunko!
Rwanda Partnership
The women of Shoreland have been uniquely touched by a ministry
partnership with the women of the Good Shepherd Community Church in
Kigali, Rwanda. We have helped subsidize their sewing club with
materials and other class costs, and have shared personally with
them by praying for their specific needs – and they praying for
ours. We recently sent a team of eight people to further
establish a partnership of ministry in Rwanda.
Bible Studies
Opportunities to study the Bible are open and available to each
woman who desires to learn more and apply Biblical principles to
her life. The studies include not only discussion, but also time
for fellowship and prayer. You do not need to have prior Bible
study experience or knowledge to feel comfortable and enjoy the
discussion. (Childcare is available at some studies for a minimal
charge.)
One-to-one Discipleship
If you are a new Christian or someone who desires to move along
on your Spiritual Journey, one-to-one discipleship provides a
safe learning environment to ask questions and to study the Bible.
Issues addressed might include what makes Christianity different
from other religions, what it means to be a follower of Jesus,
and how to study the Bible. If this is something you have an interest
in, contact the church office at 414-354-7650 for more details.
Conferences and Retreats
Throughout the year, opportunities are presented for women to
get away for a day or two to be spiritually enriched. These events
have included Winter Warm-Up, Joyful Journey, Break Away, and
our Fall Retreat.
