"Go and make disciples of all nations …" – Matthew 28:19

"… and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth". – Acts 1:8

Definition

Any ministry that seeks to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ (Matthew 28:19-29), make disciples of all nations, equip the Saints (followers of Christ) to carry out our vision, and provide for the whole need of man.

Mission Statement
We believe that God has called Shoreland Community Church to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our local community, to our nation, and to those parts of the world where people have not heard the Gospel message. We believe that lost people everywhere matter to God; therefore, they matter to us.

Vision for Missions
1. To seek God's direction in fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ as described in Matthew 28:19-29 and Acts 1:8.
2. To seek God's direction in ministering to the totality of human need as Christ admonished those in Matthew 9:36-38, Matthew 25:31-46, and Luke 16:19-31.
3. To seek God's direction in bringing the Gospel to all His people, whatever the culture, race, or land, according to Romans 10:13-15 and 1 Corinthians 9:19-23.

Missions Committee
The Missions Committee at Shoreland Community Church shall devote its efforts to choose, facilitate, and support any ministry outside of the local community. The committee will also seek to encourage and engage the congregation to expand its vision, participate in, and support those ministries in the world abroad. In addition, the committee shall strive to educate and communicate with the congregation concerning Shoreland's role in seeking and supporting those ministries.
