"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God". – Philippians 4:6

Vision
We believe that the greatest thing we can do for God or for man is to pray, and that we can accomplish far more by our prayers than by our work. When we pray, God works. That mans that prayer is omnipotent – it can do anything God can do!

Activities
Prayer Chain
The Shoreland Prayer Chain consists of a large number of participants who join together to share prayer requests and pray corporately (on their own) in time of particular need. Most of the participants use e-mail to stay connected.

An important part of the Prayer Chain is following up with updates and "Praise Reports". By this, participants know when it's appropriate to keep praying for a particular situation, and when it's time to celebrate and thank God for how He has acted in supernatural ways.

Prayer Meetings
Another important ongoing prayer ministry is the Sunday morning prayer time, prior to the church service. This group meets weekly in the church library from 8:00-8:45AM. Prayer is offered for the Sunday service, and all of the details listed in the church bulletin are bathed in prayer, as are other special needs that have been brought to the group's attention.
